Modern Integrated Development Environments (IDE) often includes a data source / database editor to allow developers to connect to databases to create, manipulate, view and update database objects efficiently within the environment. They often even help generate database persistence codes for the environment / language in question. SQueakLite aims to be deliver this database development user interface capability in Squeak to allow Squeak programmers to interact with a database without ever leaving the Squeak environment.
